Bucs LB Shaq Barrett announces passing of 2-year-old daughter

On May 1, 2023, Shaquil Barrett, linebacker for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, announced the heartbreaking news that his 2-year-old daughter, Brooklyn, had passed away.

Shaq Barrett has been a standout player for the team since joining in 2019, earning a Pro Bowl selection and being a key part of their Super Bowl victory in 2021.

Barrett has not yet announced if he will take any time off from football to grieve the loss of his daughter. The Buccaneers' next game is scheduled for May 7th against the Atlanta Falcons.
