Jacklyn Zeman, ‘General Hospital’ Star, Passes Away at 70

Zeman was a fan-favorite on the show, known for her portrayal of the feisty and resilient Bobbie.

Jacklyn Zeman, the beloved actress known for her role as Bobbie Spencer on the long-running soap opera "General Hospital," has passed away at the age of 70.

Zeman was born on March 6, 1953, in Englewood, New Jersey. She began her career in the entertainment industry as a model before transitioning to acting.

She also became a well-known advocate for breast cancer awareness, after being diagnosed with the disease herself in 2007.

In addition to her work on "General Hospital," Zeman appeared in numerous other television shows and films throughout her career.

"General Hospital" executive producer Frank Valentini tweeted, "Jackie was a beautiful soul and a tremendous talent, who will be deeply missed by all who knew her."

Zeman is survived by her two children, Cassidy and Landon, as well as her partner, Glenn Gordon.

She was also a talented and versatile actress, and her performances on "General Hospital" earned her multiple Daytime Emmy Award nominations.

Her big break came in 1977 when she landed the role of Bobbie Spencer on "General Hospital," a role she would play on and off for over four decades.
